Abstract
Modern data systems often contain rich structural information, such as hierarchies, graphs, dependencies, and logic networks. Structure-Aware Data Management studies how such structures can be exploited to improve the efficiency and interpretability of data analysis. Three research directions are presented. The first focuses on summarization methods for hierarchical DAGs and hierarchical time series. The second studies structure-aware interactive search on trees and DAGs to reduce user interaction cost. The third applies structural information to AIG rewriting for scalable logic-network optimization. Together, these works demonstrate how structural information can serve as a computational resource for managing complex data systems.
